Brief Biography of Partner
The Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) is a leading research centre in Greece and the European Union. CERTH participates in ONCOSCREEN through Information Technologies Institute (ITI). ITI was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation, and since 2000 it is a founding member of CERTH. ITI is a leading Greek institution in the fields of Informatics, Telematics and Telecommunications. ITI has participated in a great number of research and development projects funded by European, public investment funds and services contracted by firms and other private legal entities.
The Institute has the infrastructure, experience, and maturity to efficiently bring innovative services and products to key stakeholders and using necessary mechanisms and tools. In recent years ITI’s collaborations with numerous institutions in Greece and abroad have resulted in the founding of seven new spin-offs.
Partner’s Role in ONCOSCREEN
CERTH leads efforts that will advance colorectal cancer diagnostics. More specifically, it focuses on developing ONCOSCREEN fused data-lake, which is based on the multi-modal fusion of heterogeneous sources of data, such as environmental sources and medical history. Other CERTH tasks include the development of intelligent analytics dashboards and the platform for colonoscopies.
