Brief Biography of Partner
The mission of the Greek Ministry of Health (MoHGR) consists of preserving and promoting the well-being of those residing in Greece through designing and implementing diverse health policies and reforms. Through a multitude of public health intervention MoHGR targets critical fields and population groups at risks in an attempt to enhance the overall state of health in the country. The Directorate of Operational Preparedness for Public Health Emergencies, which actively participates in ONCOSCREEN, has a valuable experience in crisis management and public health emergencies, including piloting interventions and trialling procedures that lay outside the day-to-day functions of the health system. The Directorate of Operational Preparedness for Public Health Emergencies has participated in several Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects, most recently in STAMINA.
Partner’s Role in ONCOSCREEN
Within ONCOSCREEN, MoHGR will contribute to different tasks and project activities as an expert organisation in health public policies and public health promotion. More specifically, it will be responsible for the task, which focuses on providing a sustainable roadmap for policy makers to encompass ONCOSCREEN evidence-based suggestions into national and European colorectal cancer screening guidelines.
